Over the years we have run several bread making workshops in Capel Memorial Hall. They proved very popular and successful so we have decided to create our own dedicated bakery and workshop space in the garage.
All-day workshops start at 09:30 and finish at 16:00. Lunch, which will partially be prepared during the morning session, is included. This workshop covers starting and keeping a sourdough starter, bread made with sourdough and commercial yeast, soda bread and filled bread. It’s a lot to cram in one day but there is time for fun too.
Half-day sessions last around 3 hours and start at 09:30, 13:00 or 19:00. There are 3 types of workshop:
- White, whole meal and flat breads
- Sourdough and soda breads
- Tea breads and filled breads
All courses will have a display of ingredients for bread making for viewing and buying. Hot and cold drinks will be provided
All materials and ingredients for the workshops will be provided but participants may want to bring an apron.
